Hazbin Hotel's Creator Is Aware of Fans' Second Season Bingo Cards — And She Has Good News

The much-anticipated Season 2 of the musical adult cartoon Hazbin Hotel arrives on Prime Video this week, and fan speculation has been intense.

The first season introduces a diverse group of personalities living within Hell and Heaven, pits them against each other accompanied by musical numbers detailing their conflicts, and establishes heated competitions and angsty, affectionate connections that drive fan obsession.

The fandom's stated hopes for season 2 vary widely, but certain themes recur frequently: Could Angel Dust break free from Valentino? Might we learn more about the mysterious "deal" constraining Alastor the Radio Demon? Might certain characters' relationships evolve?

"Naturally, I don't make the show with audience demands specifically in mind," the showrunner commented earlier this year. "However I feel like me being a fan of my own show means there's a lot of it just naturally. I also am eager for these things, and I want some of these things to occur, and obviously some of these things are meant to happen in the show!"

She says her long-term vision is for five seasons of Hazbin Hotel. Seasons 3 and 4 have received approval by the production companies, which finance the series.

That might mean viewers have to wait years for some of the biggest payoffs — but they could be shocked at how fast the new season progresses, and how much of what they're waiting for happens now.

"I believe people are going to get a lot out of it," she adds. "We get some firsts. I think we get some incredible disclosures, some really cool backstories, and even basic elements, [like] I hope this character gets a song. […] Audiences will experience additional musical numbers from the characters we didn't get to hear before."

The creator is well-informed of the guesses and hopes about the upcoming season — particularly in the form of fan bingo cards.

"I've come across a few fans create a prediction grid about the new season," she mentions. "Obviously I can't post it, but I've already completed some of them, and nearly every one of them have almost a bingo. I thought, Oh, if you put this [event] in this spot, it would be a bingo. So that makes me think we do a lot [of what fans are waiting for in this season], because I realized, Oh, there's multiple potential bingos on this card. So that makes me happy."

Hazbin Hotel season 2 premieres on the streaming service on Oct. 29.
